Fall Flavor Puzzle

Challenge yourself to this 500-piece “Fall Flavor” puzzle that features Sunset’s November 1933 cover, an illustration by Heath Anderson which shows a family cooking a turkey over an open-air hearth. The cover was an on-theme choice for the issue, which features a Thanksgiving roast turkey how-to (complete with the history of why we eat turkey on the occasion) and the article “To Which Era Does Your Kitchen Range Belong?” that tracks the progress of the modern range, from outdoor ovens in early Spanish California to campfires built by those in wagon trains on the prairie to the early gas range to the electric and gas ranges of present-day 1933.
